OUR STORY
Joshua Newbry ( Founder ) was born in Bishop, CA and raised in Mammoth Lakes attending school in Mammoth until around 15 years of age . Josh moved to New Zealand with his family in 2006 and lived there until 2012. Josh has always been in love with the mountains so he started his career in the ski industry as a snowcat operator in Steamboat Springs, CO building the terrain parks. Since then he has accumlated over 20,000 hours operating and building terrain parks all over the world including Woodward Copper, Breckenridge, Perisher in Australia, China and most recently Mammoth Unbound. He has since retired from the ski industry in hopes to better serve the community !
Newbry’s Emergency Snow Services was born during the record-breaking winter in Mammoth Lakes in 2021 that dumped around 55 feet of snow in Mono County and paralyzed our local High Sierra community. Mono County was declared in a national state of emergency. Houses were exploding, food trucks couldn't make it to town, highways were shut down, and helicopters were delivering necessities to communities where all access had been buried . It was when our neighborhood started to look like this that inspired the birth of our emergency snow removal business !
